An architect from Greece (Diploma of Architecture with Honors ’86), with a Master of Science in Architecture Studies, MIT ’89 (award for best performance), a Ph.D. degree, MIT ‘01 in History, Theory and Criticism in Architecture and 30-year experience of international practice in architecture. Collaborated with Rafael Moneo Arquitecto from Madrid, Spain as a senior architect for 15 years (2000-2015), worked with Pei Cobb Freed & Partners in New York (1995-96) and Charles Correa in Mumbai, India (1991) having started her professional career at the architectural office of Alexandros Samaras in Athens, Greece (1986). Founder of VMA - an integrative design firm with a range of international projects spanning multiple scales and typologies - educational, cultural, and commercial currently focusing on residential projects and small object design.
